Yes, all sperm samples undergo rigorous testing for sexually transmitted diseases or genetic diseases as required by law. In addition, collection, storage, and transport procedures adhere to strict medical and health regulations. All Medically Assisted Reproduction Units are required to check the donor’s file in order to receive a sample.
Spermia operates under a State License issued by the Hellenic Authority for Medically Assisted Reproduction (eaiya.gov.gr), in accordance with Government Gazette B 2350/2017 and B 234/2023. We are also fully licensed to transport reproductive samples within the European Union (EU TE Code: GR009402).
