Become a Sperm Donor

Be the reason someone smiles again!

Sperm donation is an act of generosity with a truly meaningful impact. Many people who, for medical or social reasons, cannot conceive naturally rely on the kindness of anonymous donors to make their dream of having a family come true. Among them are:

Men with azoospermia
Azoospermia is a medical condition where the semen contains no sperm cells and is often diagnosed in men who have been trying unsuccessfully to conceive. For these men, sperm donation represents the only alternative to having a biological child with their partner.

Families with genetic or hereditary diseases
Some families face serious genetic disorders such as thalassemia, cystic fibrosis, or rarer syndromes. In such cases, using donor sperm free from genetic mutations is a safe and scientifically proven solution to prevent the transmission of hereditary diseases to offspring.

Single-parent families
Many women today choose to become mothers without a partner—either by personal choice or because they have not yet found the right person.
Sperm donation gives them the opportunity to create their own family, free from social or familial pressures.

How Long Does It Take to Join the Sperm Donation Program?

The entire process usually takes around 5 to 6 weeks, covering all necessary steps such as medical examinations and psychological assessment.

How Often Should I Donate Sperm as an Approved Donor?

Once you are approved as an active donor, regular donations are required, especially during the initial period.
Frequency depends on your availability and the laboratory’s schedule. Each sample must meet strict quality and sperm concentration standards to be accepted.

How to Join the Donor Program

Joining the donor program is simple and consists of the following steps:

Initial Interview

In your first meeting, you will meet the scientific team, receive detailed information, and have the opportunity to ask any questions.

Semen Quality Evaluation

Your sperm sample will be assessed for quality over at least three visits.

Social and Physical Characteristics

If your sample meets the required standards, you will be asked to provide personal and lifestyle details so that we can get to know you better.

Medical and Family History

You will complete a questionnaire about your health and your family’s medical background. This helps ensure you are healthy and that no hereditary diseases are present. The questionnaire includes questions about chronic conditions, allergies, and diseases in relatives (e.g., heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or inherited disorders). The purpose of this step is twofold: to safeguard your health and to protect recipients from hereditary or infectious diseases.

Psychological Assessment and Interview

You will participate in a psychological and social evaluation interview aimed at understanding your personality, emotional stability, and social environment. This is not a “test” but a friendly, supportive discussion with a qualified professional, ensuring your decision is informed, responsible, and made in good mental health.
